A few days of Indian Summer inspired us to repaint the tractor shed. Most of the paint was peeling on the south side, so after scraping and priming, it was time to pick a paint color. But I had no idea what color chip to select for a nice “barn red.” So of course, I turned to the internet and searched for advice. It turns out that Behr makes a special paint for barns and fences! Available in red and white, this paint is less expensive than exterior house paint, and according to Behr, “dry film will not harm livestock.” So, we’re trying it out, mostly for the color, though.

Looks great! how many coats did it take? We are thinking of using it on our barn style house:)
We used two coats on top of primer, although the paint is supposed to be self-priming.
